About DJ Lyndsay
Lyndsay has been the go to DJ for celebrities and clients since 2015. She started life as a classically trained percussionist, before working with artists as diverse as The Black Eyed Peas, Ricky Martin, Wyclef Jean, Cameroonian singer Coco Mbassi, Jazz legend Guy Barker and techno icon Luke Slater, where she was inspired to turn her hand to DJing.
This quickly led to warm up slots for DJs and artists including Jess Glynne, Paloma Faith, Paulo Nutini, Jazzy Jeff, Robin Thicke and performing at London and Paris fashion weeks as well at the Elle Style Awards, Marie Claire Awards, Vidal Sassoon and DJ for labels including Alexander McQueen, Bimba & Lola, Topshop and H&M.
She has also worked with several brands including Lambourghini, Channel 4, Apple, Cartier, Mercedes Benz, Laurent Perrier, Rolls Royce and is the resident UK Dj for the NFL. Residencies and performances worldwide have included iconic clubs such as Pacha, Whiskey Mist, The Ivy and for the global brand, Hed Kandi.
Combining DJing and Drumming
Lyndsay decided to combine her love of doing and her love of percussion into one solo act, She Plays Drums. Being a natural multitasker, she effortlessly switches between the decks and her percussion/drums set up, creating a unique combination of live and recorded music. Indeed, Lyndsay is still the only female DJ in the world that uses this unique set up.
Her motto is "Play for the crowd, not for the ego." Her love of beats has also influenced her eclectic taste in music - her sets can include new house tracks and raggaton, old school funk and hip hop, disco classics and pop remixes. She also has a special set up for more chilled and relaxed 'sundowner' performances.
She has performed at celebrity parties and weddings from Ibiza to Israel, including the current British Royal family, Tamara Ecclestone and the ultimate party girl, Paris Hilton.
Lyndsay's performances have also included at the last two official BRIT Awards After parties, performing with Little Mix, Pixie Lott, 90's legend Sonique and corporate performances for Formula 1, Diesel, Audi, Vodafone, Estee Lauder, Dell, Landrover and Levi's.
She has played at clubs and festivals in the UK and abroad including Glastonbury, Lovebox, Secret Garden Party and in Spain, Belgium, Australia, Beirut and China.
She still performs as a solo DJ and as a drummer/percussionist; she is the resident drummer with the show Tap Dogs, including a residency in London's West End and is currently teaching drums for the Disney channel, Disney XD.
In her spare time, Lyndsay loves cooking and recently was a semi-finalist on BBC's 'Masterchef' so feel free to swap recipes with her on gigs!
